Special Thanks
Honoring the people who helped shape Tangled Lights Productions along the way.
Thank You, Family & Friends
This company started with a show in a living room — and it never would have grown into what it became without the people who showed up, season after season, to help make it happen.
To Andrew’s entire family, who watched the very first display take shape in the living room back in 2008 and kept saying yes every time it got a little bigger, a little brighter, and a little more ambitious — thank you. You believed in this before it was anything more than a kid with a string of lights and a dream.
And to every volunteer who showed up between 2015 and 2022 to help set up the Tangled Lights Productions show in Amarillo — running cable, climbing ladders, untangling strands, staying out in the cold long after dark, Thank you! Whether you helped for one season or every season, your time and effort became part of something that brought joy to thousands of families.
Tangled Lights Productions wouldn’t exist without you. Thank you for helping build something special, one strand of lights at a time.

Thank you, Alex
Tangled Lights Productions is deeply saddened by the passing of a great friend and invaluable team member, Alex Candela (Alex the Punk) of Orlando, FL. For five years, Alex played a critical role in shaping our Christmas light shows, especially in our transition from Light-O-Rama (LOR) to xLights.
More than just a mentor, Alex shared his vast knowledge with Andrew, the owner of Tangled Ligths Productions, teaching him networking, 3D imaging, software applications, xLights, Falcon PiPlayer, and even some coding. Their collaboration spanned countless Zoom calls, often joined by fellow enthusiasts in his online community.
Alex unexpectedly passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2023. He was a blunt, private man who preferred to stay behind the scenes — but his impact on the Christmas lighting industry was profound. He never sought credit, and truthfully, he probably wouldn’t be thrilled that we’re giving him any credit now. But the world needs to know how much he inspired and supported this community.
Without Alex, Tangled Lights Productions from 2019–2022 would not have been possible. He helped hundreds of people bring their Christmas displays to life, spreading joy to hundreds of thousands without ever seeking recognition.
Alex, you will never be forgotten. Thank you for helping light up the world — one display at a time.
Rest in peace.
